Since the Lord has directed me to start a ministry blog, I am trying to figure out how to tie ministry in with what is going on in my heart right now. If you can't tell from my previous blog entries, I am very transparent. This may get me in trouble.
For the past 7-8 months, I have been crying out to the Lord about meeting a perfect helpmate. When I say perfect, let me clarify what I mean. In the history of the world, there has only been one perfect man, His name was (and is) Jesus. (if you haven't accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, now would be a good time, just e-mail or call me).
How would I define "perfect?" Let me explain myself a little...
I have a heart for the ministry. I eat, drink and live for it. One of the best times I have in my life is when I have the God-given privilege to speak into another person's life in order for them to fulfill God's purpose for their life. See, it is an ongoing cycle.
The last few months I have been communicating with a young lady over the internet, named Katie. Recently, our communication has grown tremendously and this past Wednesday, I had the incredible privilege to take her out to dinner. As we have been communicating, we have been talking about ministry a lot. Our calls to the ministry go hand and hand.
God has very careful placed her in my life for a reason. While I can't tell you everything, I will tell you this: when you are in the will of God you have this feeling of completeness. As Christians, we should live this way 24/7. We do not however. Life pulls at us from every direction and we often forget what our purpose is. To share the love of Christ!
As the night went on, our conversation developed into such good topics. After dinner, we went to a coffee house and talked more. I could not have asked God for a better first date.
Yesterday, I brought lunch to work for her, and we had good conversation. Later that day, after I finished a hospital visitation, she and some friends of hers were at the same coffee house. I met them there and the Holy Ghost fell down! God allowed me to prophesy to her friends!
